Non-Business Reasons to Publish a Book
Some authors use a book as a means to let their children, grandchildren and future generations know what they accomplished. Or as a wonderful way to thank those who have helped them along life's journey – mentors, colleagues, teachers, longtime employees, family and friends.
Others have led interesting lives and want to tell their story of a life well lived. Memoirs today are very popular, and ghostwriters help nonprofessional writers tell their stories in compelling ways. Still others have learned valuable life lessons and want to impart them for the benefit of others.
Then there are those who have developed a passionate interest in and become quite expert about a place or a person (historical figure, celebrity, family member), and want to tell others about their interest.
All of these are very good reasons for writing a book.
